If You Have a Dental Emergency Please Do Not Go to the Emergency Room

Call Oakland Dental Care for Emergency Treatment 201-337-7733

We are so excited to welcome you back to Oakland Dental Care. Governor Murphy announced that effective May 26, 2020, dentists of New Jersey can re-open their practices. Our office will be fully open at that time. We are eager to serve you in maintaining your dental health, which is integral to a strong immune system and contributes to your overall well-being.

Many things have greatly impacted our lives over these past weeks, but our commitment to your health and safety remain Oakland Dental Care’s primary focus.

Oakland Dental Care has continued to stay updated regarding the state of the art practices and guidelines that have been directed by both the Center for Disease Control {CDC} and the American Dental Association {ADA}. This will insure your utmost safety and health while being treated at Oakland Dental Care.

As a reminder, Oakland Dental Care maintains and exceeds the most current infection control guidelines as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control {CDC} and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration {OSHA} for dental facilities in the face of Covid-19.

As part of this protocol:

  • Social distancing will be our priority. Patients will no longer wait for treatment in the reception area.
  • Patients will call upon arrival and will be promptly informed as to when they may enter the office. They will be escorted directly to their treatment room.
  • Each patient will be screened prior to their appointment to ensure that they are in good health.
  • Upon entry, each patient’s temperature will be taken.
  • Each treatment room will be meticulously disinfected prior  to the seating of the next patient.
  • A misting machine will spray the room with hypochlorous acid (a safe, neutral solution of electrolyzed water and salt that kills viruses and bacteria but is non-toxic to humans).
  • All staff wear protective gloves, protective face shields, gowns, and masks, which meet or exceed the CDC’s PPE  recommendations and are changed after each patient.
  • All instruments are heat sterilized in an autoclave, which exceeds hospital standards.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

We wish you and all of those dear to you good health and safety.

Warmest regards,
Dr. Arthur Kook
